The Copp’s Story

If you have met the Copp’s, you know of their boundless love and indomitable spirit. If you haven't, you might not know about the obstacles they've had to overcome while raising two little boys with the same rare mitochondrial disorder. Jody and Melissa have made it their life's mission to make sure their sons, Calan & Lawson, can just be kids, which is hard when even seemingly simple tasks like taking a bath or playing in the park can be potentially life-threatening. 

Variety, the Children's Charity of Texas surprised the Copps with park tickets and airfare to Disney World so they can experience all of the joy and wonder of the happiest place on earth. In order for them to have the trip they deserve, we also want to provide on site lodging, transportation accommodations, and all of the other things which will ensure that they only have to think about having fun and making memories.
